How to spend a day in Barcelona

We finally made it to one of my favorite cities in Spain, Barcelona!

I was super excited that I got to plan this trip and stay with one of my best friends who lives there. I think it  really makes a difference visiting a foreign city and having someone who lives there to show you around. Of course, we did some of the typical touristy attractions but we also ventured off finding our own new favorite lunch places and rooftops.

If you ever visit Barcelona, here are 3 of my favorite new places that you absolutely must visit!

  1. Parc de la Ciutadella – There are lots of fun things to do in this park like the zoo and renting a row boat in the pond, but my favorite view is of the fountain. This is a prime photo session location, and the view is just absolutely breathtaking.

2. Mercat Princesa – Tapas market- After the number of photos you will be taking at Parc de la Ciutadella, you will have built up quite the appetite. We found this amazing place to eat lunch while we were wandering around. For 12 euros, you get 3 huge tapas of your choice plus a glass of wine and dessert! We fell in love with this place.

3.  Ohla Rooftop Bar– And to end the day, of course a rooftop bar overlooking the entire city. Ohla rooftop is part of a 5-star hotel, so the drinks were a bit pricey but the views of the city and infinity pool was well worth it!

If your ever in Barcelona, I hope you all get the chance to visit these amazing places!
