Dreamy Morocco

اسلا عليكم (Hello) my beautiful fashionistas! I’m so excited to be writing this post, and I think it’s going to be one of my favorites. This past weekend I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Morocco, Africa. This was my first time ever exploring Africa, and it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Since it is a developing country, the lifestyle in Morocco is very different from what we as tourists are used to. Seeing the locals be happier with less is an eye opening experience that I would recommend to anyone looking to travel.

Our first day exploring was in a city called Chefchaouen also known as Morocco’s beautiful “blue city”. The first question always asked is why the blue colors? The maze-like medina sector is painted many shades of blue to repel mosquitoes, and the white paint is to keep the streets cool during the hot summers. Our local tour guide actually told us that it is normally around 46 degrees Celsius (115 degrees Fahrenheit) in the shade during the summers! We spent our day sightseeing, eating amazing food, and shopping in the city’s local market.

Our second day was spent riding camels, and exploring the beautiful city of Asilah, located on the northwest tip of the Atlantic coast of Morocco. When we were here, we got to see breathtaking views of the coast, eat another tradition Moroccan meal, and have free time to shop and get henna tattoos! To put how amazing this trip was into one post is virtually impossible. The art work, food, views, beaches, markets, and architecture is something everyone has to experience through their own eyes, but I tried my best!
